Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6 Electric SUV Test Drives Commence In India: All Details Here

Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs are currently available for test drives. Deliveries of these models are set to commence between February and March 2025. The introductory price for the BE 6 starts at Rs 18.90 lakh, while the XEV 9e begins at Rs 21.90 lakh, both ex-showroom.

Test Drive Availability

Mahindra has organised a phased rollout for test drives across India. Starting January 14th, 2025, interested customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai can take these SUVs for a spin. By January 24th, 2025, an additional 15 cities including Lucknow and Ahmedabad will join the list. From February 7th, 2025, all other cities will have access to test drives.

Pricing Details

The BE 6 is priced between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh. Meanwhile, the XEV 9e ranges from Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh. These prices are introductory and ex-showroom. Further pricing details might be revealed during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2025.

Battery Options & Charging

Both models offer two battery options: a 59kWh and a larger 79kWh pack. These batteries support DC fast charging up to 175kW, enabling a quick charge from 20% to 80% in just about 20 minutes.

Range Capabilities

The BE 6 with its smaller battery can travel up to 535km on a single charge; the larger battery extends this range to 682km. The XEV 9e offers slightly different figures: up to 542km with the smaller battery and up to 656km with the larger one.

Performance Specifications

Both SUVs deliver impressive power outputs of up to 230bhp with the smaller battery pack and up to 285bhp with the larger one. Torque remains constant at a robust 380Nm across both models.

Driving Modes

Mahindra's electric SUVs come equipped with three driving modes: Range, Everyday, and Race. Additionally, there is a Boost mode for extra power when needed and a One-pedal drive mode for enhanced convenience.
