Mahindra Vision S Concept Unveiled — Honey, We Shrunk The Scorpio!
Indian SUV specialist Mahindra has pulled the wraps off the Vision S Concept on Independence Day at its FreedomNu event in Mumbai. The Mahindra Concept Vision S shows off what could become the smallest member of the Scorpio family.
Alongside the Vision S, Mahindra has also revealed the Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT concepts at its Freedom Nu event. Each of these four concepts previews a different direction of Mahindra's next-gen SUV plans.

Up front, the Vision S wears Mahindra's Twin Peaks badge that is flanked by triple vertical LED elements on each side. These LEDs link up with inverted L-shaped headlights below, giving it a split lighting setup, which is the design norm these days in the SUV world.
A radar sensor sits in the Vision S's bumper, hinting at advanced driver-assist features and if you look lower and you'll notice pixel-style fog lights. The Vision S' front bumper sports squared-off edges and air dam design along with a central bash plate section in silver.

On the sides, the Mahindra Vision S concept sports heavy black cladding around the wheel arches and doors. The 19-inch alloy wheels feature a star-shaped design and come wrapped in chunky tyres. Red brake callipers add a colour and sportiness to the concept's design, while small side-view cameras replace traditional mirrors.
The Vision S gets a roof ladder mounted along the left-hand side and a jerry can strapped neatly into a rear-side bracket. Flush-fitting door handles help keep the lines smooth of this rather tough-looking compact SUV concept.

Around the back, the inverted L-shaped tail lamps mirror the headlight design. The Vision S' spare wheel is bolted onto the tailgate, and the bumper houses pixel-shaped reflectors. The overall tail section does remind us a bit of old Bolero Neo, albeit in a modern avatar..
The Vision S runs on Mahindra's new nu.iq modular platform, which it shares with the Vision X, T, and SXT concepts. This platform can be configured for petrol, diesel, hybrid, or full-electric power, with both front- and all-wheel-drive options possible when the Vision S goes into production in 2027.
DriveSpark Thinks
The Mahindra Vision S gives us our first glimpse of a compact SUV concept that looks built to carry the Scorpio name into a new and smaller section of the Indian car market. However, it still packs the stance and adventurous cues that have made the Scorpio a favourite in India's off-road-capable SUV segment.
