Mahindra Teases Glimpse of XEV 9's Interior Ahead Of November Launch
Indian auto manufacturer Mahindra is getting ready to launch its upcoming SUV XEV 9s on November 27. This is a seven-seater model based on their INGLO platform, and we have already seen glimpses of its exterior. Now, they have officially shared the teaser video of its interior on their social media page.
Mahindra XEV 9s Teaser
The teaser reveal clearly shows an interior similar to the XEV 9e, which is already on sale in India. It has the same triple-screen setup with 12.3-inch displays and a leather-stitched two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo at the centre. It is more likely to carry the same battery& range as the 9e.
One of the key highlights was its sliding second row seats. Along with this, we also see a tri-cluster, which is more likely to have a Piano black finish. The seat and dashboard leathers are completely wrapped in black to give it a premium, sporty look. Other features like ambient lighting, semi-active suspension, and secure 360 are more likely to be in the new 7-seater model.
Built in the INGLO platform
This car uses the same INGLO platform as the BE6 and XEV 9e. Mahindra's INGLO platform was developed in partnership with Volkswagen as it shares components with their MEB electric platform. Earlier, Mahindra released a teaser of the exterior, which is completely black with illuminated LED DRLs and a large panoramic sunroof, which Mahindra calls 'infinity roof'. We believe this won't have the connected tail lamps which we see in the other electric cars.
Launch date
Mahindra wants to dominate the Indian electric car market, and that's why they are offering EVs like BE06 and XEV 9e with class-leading features, which we find only in ultra-luxury cars. We expect the same kind of treatment for this 7-seater model, which will be their flagship once it gets launched this November.
