Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition To Be Launched Soon: All Details Here

The Mahindra Scorpio N is set to receive a new Black Edition, enhancing its already popular lineup. This edition aims for an all-black aesthetic, reducing chrome and metallic elements. The Scorpio brand is a significant contributor to Mahindra's sales, making up over 30% of the total. The Scorpio range includes the standard model and the Scorpio N.

Currently, the Scorpio N offers six colour options, including two black shades: Midnight Black and Stealth Black. These shades feature a glossy finish with some chrome accents on various parts. However, the new Black Edition maximises the blacked-out look.

Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition Features

The new Black Edition is expected to distinguishes itself with a blacked-out bumper, alloy wheels, side moulding, window trim, and roof rails. A dark chrome finish is likely to be applied to the front grille and door handles. Inside, the combination of black and dark chrome is expected.

This edition is expected to be based on the top-spec Z8 L variant, ensuring access to all features available in the Scorpio N. Other exterior highlights include LED projector fog lamps, sequential turn indicators, ski-rack, 18-inch alloy wheels, and vertically stacked LED tail lamps.

Features & Safety Tech

The interior of the Scorpio N boasts a sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone FATC, wireless charger, steering-mounted controls, USB ports, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift lever. It also features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch colour TFT instrument console.

For entertainment and connectivity, it includes Alexa-enabled what3words (W3W), rear AC vents, a premium SONY sound system with 12 speakers, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety features comprise front/side/curtain airbags, parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold control (HHC), hill descent control (HDC), driver drowsiness detection (DDD), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), auto-dimming IRVMs and ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels.

Engine Options

The Scorpio N offers two engine choices: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 200 hp and 370 Nm with a 6-speed manual transmission or 380 Nm with a 6AT; and a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 172 hp and 370 Nm with a 6MT or 400 Nm with a 6AT.

The Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition has been officially teased by Mahindra and has started arriving at dealerships. This suggests that its launch could happen soon. The Scorpio N competes with models like Tata Safari. Interestingly enough, Tata has also introduced a new Stealth Edition for both Safari and Harrier models.
