Mahindra Confirms XUV 7XO Pre-Bookings Starting From December 15

Mahindra is gearing up to debut its refreshed XUV 7XO in India on January 5, 2026. Now, they have announced that the pre-bookings for the seven-seater car will be open starting December 15, 2025, from 12 pm. Mahindra has priced the pre-booking amount at 21,000 rupees.

Mahindra XUV 7XO Expected Features

This car will be a major upgrade over the existing XUV700 and is expected to offer several segment-first features. Customers will also be able to choose their preferred powertrain during the pre-booking process and select the dealership from which they want to take delivery.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO seven-seater car was spotted many times on Indian roads during testing. Some of its newest features include a revamped exterior, alloy wheels, a new bumper, grille and LED setup. Many of its design elements are anticipated to be taken from their recently launched XEV 9s electric car, which is also a seven-seater EV model.

Predicted Features

The car will likely feature a new LED setup and design, rear tail lights, side profile and alloy wheels. Additionally, it is expected to borrow features such as triple screen setup, ventilated front and rear seats, latest ADAS tech, panoramic sunroof, multi-colour ambient lighting, sliding second row seats, 16 speaker Harman-Kardon system with Dolby Atmos, 7 airbags, multi-drive modes and connectivity features.

Powertrains

Powertrain options include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol unit produces 200 PS and 380 Nm of torque, and is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine delivers 185 PS and 450 Nm of torque, and is offered with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and an optional AWD system.

Pricing and Rivals

The new Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to be priced between ₹15 lakh and ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with models such as the Scorpio N, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Jeep Meridian, and Hyundai Alcazar. The year 2026 is going to be a big one for the automobile industry, with several brands already lining up major new launches.
