Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition Launched At ₹23.69 Lakh - Bookings Start On December 14th
Mahindra has launched the BE 6 Formula E Edition in India with prices starting at ₹23.69 lakh. The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition receives cosmetic updates and feature additions over the standard BE 6 range. It is offered in two variants, labelled FE2 and FE3, with the latter priced at ₹24.49 lakh(all prices are ex-showroom).
Bookings for the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition are scheduled to open on January 14, 2026, with customer deliveries planned to begin one month later on February 14. The Formula E Edition introduces design changes inside and outside while offering exclusive additions on the higher-spec FE3 variant, including adaptive suspension and larger wheels.

The first 999 customers of the Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition will get the following gifts: a track day experience at the Mahindra Proving Track, a collector's box with Mahindra Racing memorabilia and a choice of special numbers from 0-99, which comes as a side door decal and the customer's name on the Mahindra racecar for the London E-Prix.
Additionally, three lucky owners will also get: Tickets and paddock access for the August 2026 London E-Prix, a meet-and-greet with the Mahindra Racing Team and MADE team, as well as a special roof decal.

The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition is available only with Mahindra's 79kWh battery pack. This configuration aligns with the upper end of the standard BE 6 lineup, which also uses the larger battery on higher variants. The special edition retains the SUV's rear-wheel-drive layout using the same single-motor drivetrain.
Mahindra is offering the Formula E Edition in four colour options. These colourways are Tango Red, Stealth Black, Firestorm Orange and Everest White, all of which are also available on the standard BE 6. The Formula E Edition, however, adds specific exterior elements that distinguish it from regular trims.

The front and rear ends of the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition feature revised and more aggressive bumpers. These bumpers incorporate a faux silver bash plate, adding to the revised appearance. The BE6 Formula E Edition also receives circular headlights, contrasting grey and black cladding linking both bumpers, and decals applied to the front quarter panels.
Additional exterior elements include decals on the fixed glass roof and night trail carpet lamps, the latter being exclusive to the FE3 variant. The roof and bonnet also carry a Formula E-inspired 12-stripe graphic, which Mahindra says represents one stripe for every year of competition in the electric racing championship.

The FE2 variant of the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition continues with the 19-inch wheels seen on the standard SUV. The FE3 variant upgrades to larger 20-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Formula E Edition differs from the regular BE 6 through its altered LED tail-light signature and the addition of a Formula E badge beside the BE 6 emblem.
The interior layout of the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition mirrors the standard model. It continues with the square-shaped two-spoke steering wheel, the 'halo loop' dividing the front cabin, and twin 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. These core elements carry over unchanged.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition introduces a Firestorm Orange interior theme. This scheme combines black and orange accents across the cabin. It also receives an FIA X Formula E Edition plaque, Formula E logos on the dashboard and seats, FIA branding on the seat belts and motorsport-themed trims around the cabin.
Mahindra includes several feature upgrades on the BE 6 Formula E Edition. The equipment list matches the Pack Three variant of the standard BE 6, including two wireless charging pads, a cooled armrest console, a 360-degree camera, ADAS technology, wireless smartphone connectivity, ambient lighting and a Harman Kardon audio system.
The FE3 variant additionally adds adaptive suspension to the equipment package. Mahindra has also introduced Formula E-themed startup animations and exterior sound signatures for this special edition. These elements create a different experience compared with regular BE 6 variants while retaining the underlying cabin architecture.
Like the standard higher-spec BE 6 variants, the Formula E Edition uses the 79kWh battery pack. This battery powers a rear-mounted electric motor producing 286hp and 380Nm. The ARAI-claimed range for this configuration stands at 682km, matching the rating listed for other 79kWh versions of the BE 6.
R Velusamy, President - Automotive Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Managing Director, Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd., said, "Our customers conveyed a compelling message, the BE 6 doesn't just look futuristic, but it also evokes the sensation of being in a racing cockpit once they step inside. They love that it screams electric, unapologetically. We built the Formula E Edition by listening to that energy. Racing is no longer a niche in India; it's becoming a lifestyle statement. With this edition, we've channelled that cultural shift into a machine that celebrates electric performance the Mahindra way - bold, emotional, and proudly made in India."
