Lotus Emira Clark Edition Celebrates Jim Clark's Racing Legacy With Exclusive Design
Lotus has unveiled the Emira Clark Edition, a special model created in partnership with the Jim Clark Trust. This limited edition, restricted to 60 units for select markets, will debut at the 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. The car celebrates Jim Clark's legendary achievements in motorsport, particularly his remarkable 1965 season.
The Emira Clark Edition draws inspiration from the iconic Team Lotus cars that dominated racing in 1965. That year, Jim Clark won both the Formula 1 World Championship and the Indianapolis 500. His success extended to Formula 2 and the Tasman Series in Australia and New Zealand, along with victories in touring car races driving a Lotus Cortina.
The Emira's exterior is finished in Clark Racing Green with a black roof and silver mirrors. A yellow racing stripe adorns the front, reminiscent of Clark’s Indy-winning Lotus Type 38. Unique features include a blue anodised fuel cap and yellow exhaust pipes. The doors display Clark Edition branding inspired by his racing logo.
Inside, the Emira exudes motorsport nostalgia with sports seats echoing the red-trimmed Lotus cars of 1965. The driver’s seat is upholstered in red leather and Alcantara, while the passenger seat features black leather and Alcantara. A wooden gear knob and Jim Clark badging add to its unique appeal.
The Emira Clark Edition is based on the Lotus Emira V6 model. It boasts a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 400 hp, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential. The car offers an authentic driving experience with hydraulic steering feel and sports suspension included in the Lotus Driver’s pack.
This edition also features numbered carbon fibre treadplates (1 of 60) for exclusivity. Each buyer receives a hand-crafted leather holdall with unique details reflecting this special edition's theme.
A Global Tribute to Motorsport Excellence
The Emira Clark Edition stands as a tribute to one of motorsport's greatest icons. Its combination of exclusive design and high performance makes it highly desirable among collectors worldwide. In the UK, it is priced at £115,000 (€140,000 in Germany).
Lotus continues to honour its rich heritage through innovative automotive designs that celebrate past legends like Jim Clark while pushing forward into new realms of performance excellence.
