Lexus Showcases Innovative Ambiance Installation At NYCxDESIGN Festival 2025 In New York
Lexus is showcasing its innovative design at the NYCxDESIGN Festival, running from May 15 to 21, 2025. The event features the 2025 Design Pavilion at Hudson Yards, New York. This immersive experience, called Lexus Ambiance, highlights the brand's cutting-edge design and sensory interaction. It includes interactive elements and visual art by Australian artist Nick Thomm.
Visitors to the pavilion will encounter the Lexus LC 500 Convertible, styled by Nick Thomm. This vehicle is set against an emotive light structure. Inside, the Lexus GX 550 stands out with its bold design and kinetic experiences. Real-time ambiance technology transforms guest movements into vibrant light art.
The NYCxDESIGN Festival celebrates innovation in design across various disciplines. Ilene Shaw, Executive Director of NYCxDESIGN, stated, "Lexus arrives in New York at a powerful moment—when the city is actively celebrating innovation in the designed environment." The festival showcases city planning, architecture, sustainable living, and more.
Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens hosts this year's Design Pavilion. Known for its iconic Vessel and design-forward spaces, it offers a world-class stage for visitors. Stephanie Fink from Hudson Yards expressed excitement about hosting NYCxDESIGN's vibrant community in their space.
Gabrielle Diaz from Lexus Events shared that participating in the festival allows Lexus to connect with the design community. "Lexus is rewriting the script and unveiling the next chapter of the brand," she said. The event provides a platform to showcase what a future for Lexus could look like.
Lexus began its journey in 1989 with two luxury sedans. Today, it offers a full lineup of luxury vehicles across more than 90 countries. In the U.S., Lexus operates through 244 dealers and leads in luxury hybrid models with nine incorporating Lexus Hybrid Drive.

The Design Pavilion will be open from May 10 to 19 at Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and until 7 p.m. on Sunday.
