Lamborghini Reveals Enzo Geraci And Jacopo Guidetti As Winners Of Young Driver Programs For 2025 Season
Enzo Geraci and Jacopo Guidetti have been recognised as the winners of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s Young Driver Programs for 2025. Geraci excelled in the Super Trofeo Junior Driver assessment, following a remarkable season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe championship. Meanwhile, Guidetti was named the standout GT3 Junior Driver after a strong performance in the Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo.
The Super Trofeo Junior Drivers program is designed for competitors aged 25 or under in the one-make Lamborghini Super Trofeo category. In November, eight top performers from the 2024 season were evaluated over two days at Jerez de la Frontera. The assessment focused on various aspects such as performance, progression, consistency, technical feedback, physical fitness, and professionalism.
After the Lamborghini World Finals at Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain, the list of 2025 Lamborghini Young Professional Drivers was revealed. This roster is reserved for GT3 drivers. Guidetti won the GT3 shootout and was promoted to Young Professional Driver status. Mattia Michelotto, Maximilian Paul, and Danny Formal retained their places due to impressive performances in 2024.
Geraci debuted in Super Trofeo Europe with Oregon Team alongside Leonardo Caglioni. Their partnership resulted in two podium finishes and a sixth-place finish in the Pro standings. At just 17 years old, Geraci was the youngest participant in the Jerez shootout.
As a reward for their outstanding track performances and assessments, Georgi Dimitrov from the United Kingdom and Hampus Ericsson from Sweden will also advance to Young Professional Driver status. They will receive official factory support in a GT3 championship this year.
The GT3 Junior Driver shootout saw Guidetti emerge victorious against a competitive group of young talents. Gilles Stadsbader and Riccardo Cazzaniga participated in the Italian GT Championship, while Belgian driver Ugo de Wilde competed in both the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with Imperiale Racing and selected Italian GT events during 2024.
Comprehensive Evaluation Process
Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s technical staff assessed 37 drivers throughout the year—28 from Super Trofeo and nine from GT3. The evaluations covered performance metrics, progression consistency, technical feedback capabilities, physical fitness levels, and professionalism both on and off-track.
The drivers received guidance at every stage from Young Driver Program partners Scuola Federale ACI. This comprehensive support system helped ensure that each driver could perform at their best during assessments.
Guidetti impressed by competing fiercely in the Pro-Am class of Italian GT. He contended for overall victory during Monza's final Endurance Cup round of 2024 before finishing fourth overall.
Alongside Ericsson and Geraci at Jerez were Largim Ali (Denmark), Dimitrov (United Kingdom), Leonardo Caglioni (Italy), Jacob Riegel (Germany), all representing Super Trofeo Europe; Bryson Morris (United States) represented Super Trofeo North America.
The exact racing programmes for Geraci and Guidetti will be announced later as they prepare to receive factory support during their respective campaigns this season.
