Lamborghini Temerario Launched In India At Rs 6 Crore: 920hp, 10,000rpm Redline!
The Lamborghini Temerario, a successor to the Huracan, has been introduced in India. This launch comes just nine months after its global debut at Monterey Car Week in August of the previous year. The vehicle is priced at Rs 6 crore before options. It features a powerful plug-in hybrid V8 engine that delivers an impressive 920hp.
Lamborghini Temerario Engine and Performance
The Temerario's powertrain includes a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors. The turbo-petrol engine alone generates 800hp and 720Nm of torque, with turbochargers positioned between the cylinder banks. Lamborghini claims this is the most potent and highest-revving V8 ever in a production car, reaching up to 10,000rpm.

The three electric motors contribute significantly to the car's performance. A 150hp motor is integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while two axle-mounted motors produce 82hp each. These motors are powered by a 3.8kWh battery, resulting in a total system output of 920hp and 800Nm of torque.
Design and Features
The exterior design of the Temerario draws inspiration from previous models like the Huracan and Gallardo, while incorporating elements reminiscent of the Revuelto. It features staggered wheels measuring 20 and 21 inches, available in forged or carbon-fibre options. Aero-based design enhancements make it significantly more aero-efficient than its predecessor.
Inside, the Temerario's cabin takes cues from the Revuelto with its fighter jet-themed design and hexagonal motifs. It boasts a digital instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, and a passenger display. Comfort is prioritised with adjustable seats that accommodate taller drivers even when wearing helmets.
Specifications and Driving Modes
The Temerario offers various driving modes including Citta (FWD, fully electric), Strada, Sport, and Corsa. It also features drift mode for enhanced driving dynamics. The braking system includes aluminium disc brakes with ten-pot calipers at the front and four-pot calipers at the rear.
The car's all-aluminium spaceframe enhances torsional rigidity by 20 percent while maintaining weight efficiency. The Alleggerita package further reduces weight by incorporating carbon fibre components like rear wings and wheels.
Charging and Efficiency
Charging options for the Temerario include an AC charging port capable of up to 7kW in just half an hour, regenerative braking, or direct charging from the V8 engine itself. This flexibility ensures that drivers can keep their vehicle ready for any journey.
In terms of competition within India, the Lamborghini Temerario is priced higher than rivals such as Ferrari's 296 GTB at Rs 5.4 crore and McLaren's Artura at Rs 5.1 crore (all prices ex-showroom). Despite its premium pricing, it offers unmatched performance with its hybrid powertrain.
Lamborghini has focused on enhancing comfort alongside performance in this model by providing features like heated seats with ventilation options along with onboard telemetry systems including dashcams for added convenience during drives.
DriveSpark Thinks
