The Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Redefines Hypercar Performance Standards - And You Can't Have One
The Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear is the latest hypercar from a brand known for pushing the boundaries with its hypercars. The new Sadair's Spear, based on the Jesko Attack, offers 1602 horsepower while being lighter and still street-legal. Only 30 units will be produced, and all have already been sold.
Koenigsegg has consistently challenged how extreme a car can be while remaining legal on roads. The Jesko Attack, with its 1578 horsepower, was already at the edge of this limit. However, Christian von Koenigsegg and his team of performance connoisseurs have taken things further with the Sadair's Spear.

Christian von Koenigsegg named the Jesko after his father as an 80th birthday gift and to thank him for his support in the company. Interestingly, Jesko von Koenigsegg was once a jockey, and his last racehorse was named Sadair's Spear.
Enhanced Power and Aerodynamics
The Sadair's Spear enhances the Jesko Attack by reducing weight, increasing downforce, and boosting power. These changes transform an already formidable track car into one that redefines speed perceptions. During initial shakedown laps at Gotland Ring, it surpassed the Jesko Attack's lap record by 1.1 seconds.

The Sadair's Spear uses a familiar powertrain: a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V-8 with a nine-speed Lightspeed transmission from the Jesko. Without a flywheel, this V-8 reaches 8500 rpm in just 0.2 seconds. Engine calibration improvements, new air intakes, and better cooling have increased output by 25 horsepower.
This results in an impressive 1282 horsepower on regular unleaded fuel and an astounding 1602 horsepower on E85 fuel. Torque output stands at 1500 Nm. The aero package upgrades include an active top-mounted double-blade rear wing for improved airflow.

Improved Handling and Performance
Koenigsegg extended the car's rear to enhance airflow further. Expanded front canards, louvers, reengineered hood vents, and a new Gurney flap also contribute to better cooling performance. Wider tires provide more grip, while carbon ceramic brakes feature upgraded pad materials.
The suspension system has been enhanced with Triplex dampers and lighter springs. These changes, along with other lightweighting techniques, reduce the car's weight by about 35 kilos compared to the Jesko.

The Sadair's Spear is limited to just 30 vehicles, each priced at £3.8 million. All units were sold out immediately after Koenigsegg offered its most loyal customers an exclusive preview of this remarkable hypercar.
