Kia has been making notable strides in India's automotive sector. Their vehicle lineup now features models like the Sonet, Syros, Seltos, Carens, Carnival, EV9, and the recently updated EV6 facelift. In March 2025, Kia India reported positive growth in both year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) sales figures.
Kia's Sales Performance
In March 2025, Kia India's total sales reached 25,525 units. This marks a 19.28% increase compared to the 21,400 units sold in March 2024, translating to a volume gain of 4,125 units YoY. Compared to February 2025's sales of 25,026 units, there was a modest growth of 1.99%, with an additional 499 units sold.

The B-Segment (Sub 4m) and C-Segment (Compact) vehicles are significant contributors to Kia's sales volumes. The Sonet, Syros, Seltos, and Carens fall within these categories. Kia plans to expand this lineup by introducing a new premium MPV positioned between the Carens and Carnival.
The Sonet remains Kia India's top-selling model in terms of sales and volume. It accounts for approximately 30% of Kia India's total sales. Following closely are the Seltos at 26%, Carens at 22%, and Syros at 20%. The remaining 2% of sales come from the Carnival, EV9, and EV6 models.
Kia also experienced a quarterly growth of 15.6% YoY by selling 75,576 units in this quarter compared to the previous year's same period with 65,369 units sold. The Syros has performed exceptionally well since its launch with a commendable sale of 15,986 units.
Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. VP and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India stated: "Our strong sales growth is a testament to the trust our customers have in Kia's products and our commitment to delivering world-class mobility solutions."
Future Prospects
As Kia continues to expand its presence in India, they remain committed to innovation and quality while ensuring customer satisfaction. With this momentum, they aim to further solidify their position as one of India's most cherished auto brands.
The overwhelming response to the Syros within just two months of its launch highlights Kia's understanding of evolving consumer preferences and their ability to cater effectively to them.
