Kia India Achieves 12.7% Sales Growth In H1 2025 - First EV Around The Corner

Kia India has reported a strong sales performance for the first half of 2025, with 142,139 units sold. This marks a 12.7% increase compared to the 126,137 units sold in the same period in 2024. The growth was primarily driven by popular models like the Carens Clavis, which is praised for its spacious interior and safety features.

In June 2025, Kia India experienced a slight decline in sales, with 20,625 units sold. This represents a 3.17% decrease from June 2024's sales of 21,300 units and a 7.57% drop from May 2025's figures of 22,315 units. Despite this dip, the overall half-year performance remains robust.

On the export front, Kia shipped 11,813 units to international markets from India in H1 2025. This underscores the sustained demand for Kia's 'Made-in-India' models overseas. The brand continues to strengthen its global presence through these exports.

Mr. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, expressed optimism about the company's performance in H1 2025. He stated that despite industry challenges, the response to new products like the Carens Clavis has been positive. He also highlighted the upcoming launch of Kia's first Made-in-India electric vehicle (EV).

Mr Cho stated, “The first half of 2025 has been encouraging for Kia India. Marked by steady growth despite industry-wide operational challenges, the response to our recently launched products, like the Carens Clavis has been great. With our first Made-in-India EV launching this month, we are diversifying our product portfolio fortifying our long-term commitment to the evolving preferences of Indian customers. We are confident this launch will further increase our presence in the country’s fast-transforming mobility landscape. Going forward, we remain optimistic about sustaining a healthy growth trajectory in the second half of the year."
