Kia Connected Home Unveiled At Historic Kia Forum Showcasing Future Mobility And Energy Solutions
Kia America is set to showcase its innovative Kia Connected Home at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, from July 28 to January 29. This exhibit highlights the vehicle-to-home (V2H) energy capabilities of Kia's flagship EV9, demonstrating how it can power homes during outages or peak energy times. This initiative further strengthens Kia's presence as the title sponsor of the Forum since 2022.
The Kia Connected Home was first introduced at CES 2024, showcasing the brand's dedication to sustainable innovation and future mobility. Designed under Kia’s "Opposites United" framework, it combines advanced technology with thoughtful design. This vision aims to integrate electric vehicles into efficient living environments.
Visitors to the Forum can explore an interactive EV9 driving simulator inspired by Kia’s Unplugged Ground experience in Seoul. This immersive setup allows guests to drive an actual EV9 with a first-person 3D perspective and responsive turntable technology, simulating diverse driving environments.
The simulator also showcases advanced in-vehicle technologies like Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2) and Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA-2). These features enhance lane centering, adaptive cruise control, and remote parking capabilities, emphasizing Kia's commitment to driver convenience.
Russell Wager, VP of Marketing at Kia America, stated, "We see our vehicles not just as transportation, but as an extension of your home." The introduction of the Connected Home at the Forum aligns with Kia’s broader strategy to redefine mobility through sustainable solutions.
Kia continues to expand its influence in Los Angeles by investing in community initiatives. As the title sponsor of the Forum since 2022, this project reflects their goal to integrate mobility into daily life seamlessly.
