Kia Carens Clavis: All 24 Variants' Price Details Here!
After many teasers, Kia India launched the much-awaited Kia Carens Clavis in India. This model will be sold alongside the outgoing Carens MPV, and it is available in 7 different trims.
These 7 trim levels of the Kia Carens Clavis include HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+. Out of these trims, the HTE trim is the base variant, whereas the HTX+ trim is the top-spec offering.

Bookings for the Kia Carens Clavis commenced on May 9, and the token amount is set at Rs 25,000. Though top-spec variants come well-equipped, we expect the mid-spec trims to click well with most buyers.
That being said, the Kia Carens Clavis maintains all the strengths of the Carens MPV, at the same time it also eliminates some of the shotcomings of the Carens MPV such as its stance.

In terms of powertrain options, the lineup includes familiar options from the standard Carens. This includes a 115hp naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 160hp turbocharged petrol engine, and a 116hp diesel engine.
The naturally aspirated petrol engine comes exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission, whereas the diesel engine adds an option for a 6-speed automatic gearbox as well. For enthusiasts, the turbocharged petrol engine comes with a choice of 3 gearbox options, which include a 6-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed iMT unit, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Fuel-efficiency-wise, the diesel variant shines bright with the highest claimed mileage at 19.4kpl. The turbo-petrol follows with 16.66kpl while the naturally aspirated petrol achieves 15.34kpl. However, in the real-world conditions, we expect the naturally aspirated petrol unit to outshine the turbocharged petrol powertrain when it comes to fuel efficiency figures.
