Kia America Reports Record First-Half Sales Of 416,511 Vehicles In 2025
Kia America achieved a record-breaking first half of 2025, selling 416,511 vehicles, marking an 8% increase compared to the previous year. Retail sales also rose by 12%, highlighting Kia's robust growth. Notably, models like Carnival, Telluride, Sportage, and K4 reached their highest-ever sales for the first half of a year.
The brand's hybrid models saw a remarkable 70% increase in sales year-over-year. This surge underscores Kia's strong push towards electrification. Additionally, sedan sales climbed by 29%, while SUVs experienced a 9% growth. These figures reflect the broad appeal of Kia's diverse model range.

SeungKyu (Sean) Yoon, president and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America, commented on this achievement. "In the face of uncertain market conditions, Kia delivered a record-breaking first-half sales performance," he said. He attributed this success to consumer interest in Kia's well-designed and technologically advanced lineup.
Kia is actively participating in Electrify Expo events across the United States to promote electric vehicle ownership. These expos aim to educate and inspire consumers about EV benefits. Recent participation includes Electrify Expo Los Angeles, with upcoming events in Seattle on July 12-13, Chicago from September 13-14, and New York City from October 17-19.
In addition to these efforts, Kia is introducing new models like the EV9 Nightfall Edition and the EV9 GT-Line with a two-tone roof. These introductions are expected to sustain the positive sales momentum into the second half of 2025.

The K5 model showed an impressive growth of 170%, while Sorento increased by 9%. The table below provides detailed sales data for various models:
