Kia America Reveals Pricing For The 2026 Sportage PHEV Starting At USD 40,490
Kia America has unveiled the pricing for the 2026 Sportage PHEV, featuring a refreshed design and advanced technology. The vehicle is available in two all-wheel-drive models: the X-Line AWD starting at $40,490 and the X-Line Prestige AWD priced at $47,190. These prices exclude a destination charge of $1,395. The new models combine comfort with power, showcasing Kia's "Opposites United" design philosophy.
The interior of the Sportage PHEV is designed for connectivity and convenience. It includes a 12.3-inch digital cluster and navigation system, head-up display, and multiple USB-C ports. The cabin also features ambient lighting and leather-trimmed seating options. These elements create a premium space that enhances both comfort and technology for drivers and passengers alike.
The Sportage PHEV offers several digital features through Kia Connect, enhancing the driving experience. This includes streaming music, device connectivity with an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, and personalisation options like showcasing your favourite NBA team. These features can be updated over-the-air via the Kia Connect Store.
Safety is a priority with standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist uses sensors to detect potential hazards and automatically applies brakes if necessary. Parking Distance Warning helps detect obstacles in front or behind the vehicle. Hands-On Detection ensures the driver maintains control by sensing if their hands are on the steering wheel.
The 2026 Sportage PHEV is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo gasoline direct injection engine paired with a 72kW motor. This combination delivers 268 horsepower, an increase of 7 HP from previous models. The vehicle offers an estimated all-electric range of 34 miles and has a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds.
Additional ADAS technologies are available in upgraded models, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 and Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2). HDA2 adjusts speed on highways for safer driving conditions. These systems aim to provide a more enjoyable driving experience while prioritising safety.
