Kia Achieves Manufacturer Of The Year Title And Double Win For EV3 At AM Awards 2025
Kia UK has achieved significant recognition at the AM Awards 2025, securing three prestigious titles. The company was honoured as 'Manufacturer of the Year', while its latest electric vehicle, the EV3, received both 'New EV of the Year' and 'New Car of the Year' accolades. This success highlights Kia's strong market presence and innovative product offerings.
The EV3, which began sales in late 2024, quickly became Kia's fastest-selling electric vehicle. It is available in three trim levels with two battery options, offering a maximum range of up to 375 miles on a single charge. This model currently leads as the best-selling electric vehicle in the UK retail market for 2025.
Kia's achievements at the AM Awards are not new. Last year, they won 'EV of the Year' for the EV9, and in 2022 and 2023, they were named 'Manufacturer of the Year'. This marks their third win in four years for this particular award, showcasing their consistent excellence in the automotive industry.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK Limited, expressed his delight at receiving these awards. "We are thrilled to receive such excellent recognition for our business and our product. The Manufacturer of the Year award is a perfect reflection of the way we run our business and celebrates the mutually beneficial partnership we have with our dealers," he stated.
Tim Rose, editor of Automotive Management, praised Kia's impact on the UK's motor retail industry. "Yet again, our dealer readers and the judging panel have recognised the positive impact that Kia has made in the UK's motor retail industry," he said. He noted Kia's strong relationships with dealers and its ability to provide stylish cars that attract customers.
The double-award win for the EV3 adds to its impressive list of accolades, including 'UK Car of the Year' and 'World Car of the Year'. These honours reflect how well-received this model has been since its introduction.
Kia's success is further underscored by its position as the third best-selling brand in the UK so far this year. With over 43,000 new cars sold within just four months, Kia continues to strengthen its foothold in a competitive market.
"And for its latest electric car, the Kia EV3, to pick up both the New EV of the Year and the headline New Car of the Year awards...is another statement of how Kia is helping car buyers get into more affordable EVs without compromising on technology," added Tim Rose.
The achievements at this year's AM Awards highlight Kia's ongoing commitment to innovation and quality. Their success reflects a strategic focus on delivering cutting-edge vehicles that meet consumer demands while maintaining strong dealer partnerships.
