KGM Motors UK And Blackshaws Morpeth Introduce Northumberland Rugby Volunteer Of The Year Award For 2025

KGM Motors UK, previously known as SsangYong, has announced the launch of the 'Blackshaws Northumberland Rugby Volunteer of the Year 2025 Award'. This initiative, introduced by Blackshaws Morpeth, aims to honour local volunteers who play vital roles in rugby clubs across the region. The family-run dealership in Morpeth has a long history of supporting community causes and is now focusing on recognising individuals who dedicate their time and effort to help others.

Will Blackshaw, Company Director at Blackshaws, highlighted the importance of volunteers in rugby clubs. He stated, "Behind every rugby club is a team of dedicated volunteers who make it all possible and are the heartbeat of their clubs. Without them, so many players and supporters would lose access to the game they love." This award seeks to acknowledge these unsung heroes.

Rugby clubs in Northumberland are encouraged to nominate up to two exceptional volunteers for this award. Whether it's a coach, groundskeeper, or someone working behind the scenes, their contributions deserve recognition. Nominations can be submitted online until 25th June 2025 at this link. Selected stories will be featured on Blackshaws' social media before announcing the winner on 16th July 2025.

The terms specify that only nominations from Northumberland Rugby clubs will be accepted. Nominees must be over 18 and reside in the UK. Each club can nominate up to two volunteers with their permission. An independent panel appointed by Blackshaws will shortlist nominations.
