Jeep Grand Cherokee Signature Edition Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 69.04 Lakh

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Signature Edition has been introduced in India at a price of Rs 69.04 lakh. This special edition offers more features than the Grand Cherokee Limited (O) variant, which is priced at Rs 67.50 lakh, making it Rs 1.54 lakh more expensive The additional cost brings enhanced convenience, entertainment, and safety features to the flagship SUV.

Mechanically, the Signature Edition remains identical to the Limited (O) version. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that delivers 272hp and 400Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that channels power to all four wheels through Jeep's four-wheel drive system.

Enhanced Features and Convenience

The Signature Edition introduces motorised side steps, facilitating easier entry and exit from the vehicle. At the rear, passengers benefit from two 11.6-inch Android-based touchscreen infotainment systems equipped with built-in speakers. These screens support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AUX connectivity, enhancing the entertainment experience for rear-seat occupants.

Additionally, integrated front and rear dash cameras are part of the new features in this edition. These enhancements aim to provide a more comfortable and secure driving experience for both drivers and passengers alike.

Competition in the Luxury SUV Segment

The Jeep Grand Cherokee competes with other luxury SUVs such as the Volvo XC90 (Rs 1.04 crore), Range Rover Velar (Rs 87.90 lakh), Mercedes-Benz GLE (Rs 1.02 crore-1.11 crore), Audi Q7 (Rs 90.48 lakh-99.81 lakh), and BMW X5 (Rs 97.80-1.13 crore). While the Grand Cherokee, GLE, X5, and Velar offer seating for five, the Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90 can accommodate up to seven passengers.
