Mulliner Unveils Exclusive Bespoke Collection Inspired By Chinese Culture And Artistry

Bentley's Mulliner Bespoke Studio has crafted eight exclusive collections inspired by Chinese culture. These collections showcase Bentley's renowned craftsmanship, combining vibrant colours and rich textures. The Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, Continental GT, and Flying Spur serve as unique canvases for these regional designs. Each collection is meticulously detailed, reflecting elements of Chinese artistry and symbolism.

The Bentayga EWB features a design inspired by the Koi Carp, a symbol of courage and luck in ancient China. The interior combines Beluga black with Mandarin orange accents, creating a striking contrast. Six Koi fish are detailed within the car, embodying themes of good fortune and success. Gold accents add a touch of luxury, representing wealth and prosperity.

The Flying Spur Azure collection draws inspiration from Wang Ximeng's "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains." This Song Dynasty masterpiece reflects harmony between nature and man through its intricate landscape details. The bespoke blue cabin incorporates blues, greens, and golds from the painting, symbolising tranquillity and balance.

"A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" is celebrated for its artistic brilliance. Created by Wang Ximeng at 18 years old, this painting is housed in Beijing's Palace Museum. It showcases majestic panoramas with smooth brushwork and vibrant colours, embodying Daoist philosophy.

The Ru Yi collection features the traditional Chinese decorative object symbolising good luck and prosperity. The Flying Spur models include intricately embroidered Ru Yi motifs in gold thread on seats, complemented by silver overlays on passenger fascias. This design embodies hopes for a smooth life.

Ru Yi objects often have cloud-like shapes representing the heavens. They are given as gifts during celebrations like weddings or Chinese New Year to bring blessings to recipients.

Additional Collections

Other collections celebrate Dragons, Lions dancing, and Pandas playing. Each design element is carefully curated to reflect Chinese cultural symbols. Whether it's the number of claws or eye colours, Mulliner's craftsmanship ensures each collection is unique to China.

Mulliner's bespoke team has elevated these collections with attention to detail. From embroidered dragon claws to Koi Carp swimming directions, every aspect is considered to enhance the artistry of each vehicle.
