The 2025 INFINITI QX80 has been awarded Best-In-Class Premium Full-Size SUV by the New England Motor Press Association, highlighting its luxury features and winter performance capabilities.
The 2025 INFINITI QX80 has been awarded the Best-In-Class Premium Full-Size SUV by the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) Winter Vehicle Awards. This accolade highlights the vehicle's bold design, powerful twin-turbo engine, and innovative technologies that ensure a confident driving experience. INFINITI's dedication to blending luxury with performance is evident in this recognition.
Tiago Castro, vice president of INFINITI Americas, stated, "The QX80 represents the very best of what INFINITI stands for—bold design, expert craftsmanship, advanced capability and an unwavering commitment to our clients." He emphasised the importance of the Northeast region where winter performance and comfort are crucial. Castro expressed gratitude to NEMPA and INFINITI retailers for their role in delivering exceptional experiences.

The QX80 comes equipped with numerous advanced safety features, making it ideal for winter driving. These include ProPILOT Assist 2.1, Invisible Hood View, 3D Around View®, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. These technologies are designed to provide drivers and passengers with enhanced security on the road.
Clifford Atiyeh, NEMPA president, remarked on the QX80's impressive performance during New England winters. He noted that while parking it atop a Manhattan skyscraper was eye-catching, its true capabilities shone through in challenging conditions. The SUV maintains its robust body-on-frame structure while significantly improving ride comfort and handling.
The interior of the AUTOGRAPH model is particularly noteworthy for its luxurious feel. It features beautiful metal inlays in wood and offers a second row that feels palatial. The deep carpets and heated leather seats extend to the third row, providing a decadent experience. The exterior's commanding presence is enhanced by its boxy roof and tall proportions.
Despite many premium SUVs costing around $100,000, Atiyeh believes the QX80 stands out as one of the few truly worth its price tag. Its combination of luxury features and robust performance makes it a compelling choice in its class.
