New GST Price Cut: Hyundai Witnesses Price Drop Up To Rs 2.4 Lakh
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced a significant reduction in prices across its passenger vehicle range following the government's recent decision to lower GST on internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. Customers can now look forward to price cuts of up to Rs 2.4 lakh, effective from September 22, 2025, when the revised GST rates come into effect.
According to the company, this move will directly benefit buyers by making Hyundai's cars and SUVs more affordable. Commenting on the development, Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said the government's reform was a progressive step that would not only strengthen the automobile industry but also empower millions of customers by improving accessibility to personal mobility. He added that Hyundai remains committed to supporting the nation's growth journey while delivering value, innovation, and the joy of driving through its vehicles.

Impact Of GST Reduction
The GST reform has specifically impacted ICE-powered models, which will now attract a lower tax slab of 18% or 40%, compared to the earlier burden of 29% to 50% (28% GST plus 1%-22% compensation cess). Hyundai confirmed that the benefits of this reduced tax rate are being passed on to customers in full, ensuring transparency and better affordability across its lineup.
