Hyundai September 2025 Sales Report — Creta Hits All-Time High
South Korean carmaker Hyundai sold 70,347 vehicles in September 2025, representing a 10 per cent year-on-year increase from 64,201 units in the same month last year. The growth was supported by both domestic and export performance.
Domestic sales accounted for 51,547 units, a modest 0.87 per cent increase over September 2024. Exports rose sharply to 18,800 units, up 43.51 per cent, driven by international demand. The combined growth underscores Hyundai's dual focus on India and global markets during the festive period.

Compared to August 2025, domestic volumes jumped 17.15 per cent, from 44,001 units to 51,547 units. This month-on-month growth reflects strong festive-season demand and the ongoing impact of GST 2.0 reforms, which continue to support customer sentiment across multiple segments.
The Hyundai Creta recorded its highest-ever monthly sales of 18,861 units, further cementing its leadership in the compact SUV segment. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Venue posted 11,484 units, its best month in nearly 20 months. Both models continue to attract strong customer interest. SUVs dominated the domestic mix, with 37,313 units sold out of 51,547, resulting in a 72.4 per cent SUV penetration rate, the highest in HMIL's history.
In Q2 FY26 (July-September 2025), Hyundai Motor India's domestic sales totalled 1,39,521 units, down 6.76 per cent from 1,49,639 units in Q2 FY25. Exports for the same period reached 51,400 units, up 21.51 per cent, showing that international demand remains a strong growth engine for Hyundai.
Cumulative exports for the first half of FY26 totalled 99,540 units, a 17 per cent increase over last year. This performance indicates continued strength in Hyundai's global shipments, helping the company maintain its leadership among Indian automakers in terms of exports.
Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director & COO, HMIL, said:
"We extend our gratitude to the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for the transformative GST 2.0 reforms, which have given wings to the aspirations of millions. With vibrant festive demand and strong customer interest, Hyundai has achieved its highest SUV penetration ever. Creta and Venue have been standout performers, while exports reached their strongest tally in nearly three years. This double‑engine growth across domestic and global markets reinforces Hyundai's commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat and inclusive growth."
