Hyundai Motor IONIQ 5 N Achieves Five-Star Car Award At Autocar For Performance And Innovation
Hyundai Motor's IONIQ 5 N, the company's first high-performance electric vehicle (EV), has received the prestigious Five-Star Car award from Autocar. This accolade places the IONIQ 5 N among a select group of vehicles recognised for outstanding performance, innovation, and everyday usability. The award highlights Hyundai's commitment to redefining the electric driving experience.
Autocar's Five-Star Car award is reserved for vehicles that excel across all performance categories. This year, only three models, including the IONIQ 5 N, achieved this distinction. The rigorous standards of Autocar's road test have been a benchmark in the automotive industry for nearly a century.
The IONIQ 5 N stands out with its dynamic capabilities and cutting-edge technology. It features a dual-motor setup that delivers up to 641 horsepower when N Grin Boost-mode is activated, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Autocar praised its N e-Shift function, which simulates gear changes and engine-braking characteristics found in traditional performance vehicles.
Mark Tisshaw, Editor at Autocar, remarked on the rarity of cars that truly change the game in today's automotive landscape.
