Hyundai Motor Company Promotes Philippe Guerin-Boutaud And Chris Susock To Key Leadership Roles

Hyundai Motor Company has announced significant leadership changes to enhance its global product alignment and manufacturing capabilities in North America. Philippe Guerin-Boutaud is now the Executive Vice President of the Global Product Management Division, while Chris Susock takes on the role of Chief Manufacturing Officer for Hyundai Motor North America. Philippe Guerin-Boutaud will report directly to José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company. Chris Susock will have a dual reporting line to both Muñoz and Randy Parker, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America. Hyundai Motor Announces Key Leadership Changes

The newly established Global Product Management Division aims to boost global sales performance and profitability through integrated product leadership. Guerin-Boutaud will oversee this division, with the Global Product Strategy and Planning unit reporting directly to him. Regional product teams will maintain connections with both global and local leadership through a dual reporting structure.

Before his promotion, Guerin-Boutaud was Senior Vice President of the Global Product Directors Office at Hyundai Motor Company. His career includes roles such as Executive Vice President of Quality and Total Customer Satisfaction at Renault Group. He has extensive international experience across Europe, Japan, the Americas, and Korea.

Chris Susock's new role as Chief Manufacturing Officer consolidates oversight of Hyundai’s U.S. manufacturing operations. This includes Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) and Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). Susock will focus on maximizing operational synergy, streamlining processes, and enhancing productivity, quality, and safety across these facilities.

Susock previously served as President and CEO of HMMA. He joined Hyundai in 2004 to support the launch of its first U.S. greenfield manufacturing plant. His earlier roles included Director of Quality, Vice President of Vehicle Production, then Chief Operating Officer at HMMA.
