Hyundai Motor America Reports Strong June And Q2 2025 Sales Growth With Record Numbers

Hyundai Motor America experienced a 3% rise in June sales, reaching 69,702 units compared to the previous year. This growth was achieved despite having three fewer selling days. The Elantra N and Santa Fe HEV set new records for total sales in June. Hybrid vehicle sales also increased by 3%, marking the best June ever for hybrid and electrified vehicle sales.

In the second quarter of 2025, Hyundai sold 235,726 units, a 10% increase over Q2 2024. This period saw record-breaking total and retail sales for models like Elantra N, Santa Fe HEV, Tucson PHEV, Tucson HEV, and Palisade. Hybrid vehicle sales rose by 16% during this quarter.

Hyundai Reports Strong June and Q2 Sales

Hyundai's first half of 2025 was its best ever, with total sales reaching 439,280 units—a 10% increase from the same period in 2024. Retail sales grew by 5%, while electrified vehicle sales surged by 20% year-over-year. Randy Parker, CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, expressed pride in these achievements and readiness to maintain momentum into the year's second half.

Hyundai's U.S. dealerships have made significant progress in their Global Dealership Space Identity initiative. Over half have completed facility upgrades to enhance customer experience and support the expanding dealer network. This milestone underscores Hyundai's commitment to improving its service offerings.

The Hyundai Motor Group topped the J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study for the second year running in 2025. This accolade highlights Hyundai's leadership in product quality and customer satisfaction across its brands. Additionally, Hyundai received top rankings in the IIHS Top Safety Awards for crash test evaluations.

Five Hyundai vehicles were featured on the Cars.com American-Made Index for 2025: Santa Fe, Santa Fe Hybrid, IONIQ 5, Tucson, and Santa Cruz. These models were recognised as some of the most American-made vehicles available today.

Marketing Campaigns

A new advertising campaign titled "Best of Both Worlds" was launched to promote Hyundai's hybrid models like Santa Fe Hybrid and Tucson Hybrid. The campaign aims to show that drivers can enjoy fuel efficiency without sacrificing reliability or advanced technology.

The IONIQ 9 was named Favourite Plug-In EV by the Midwest Automotive Media Association at their Spring Rally drive event in Wisconsin. Its impressive range and advanced features earned it this recognition during media evaluations.

Motorsport Success

Hyundai celebrated a class victory at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on a weather-shortened course. The brand also secured double podium finishes at Watkins Glen International during an IMSA race weekend.
