Hyundai Motor Aims For Fifth Consecutive TCR Class Victory At Nürburgring 24 Hours In Its 10th Year
Hyundai Motor Company is set to celebrate a decade of participation in the ADAC RAVENOL 24 Hour Nürburgring race. This year, the event takes place on June 21-22, 2025, at Germany's Nürburgring Nordschleife. Hyundai aims for a fifth consecutive TCR class victory with two ELANTRA N TCR cars and introduces the ELANTRA N1 Cup car in the SP3T Class.
The Nürburgring 24 Hours is renowned as one of the most challenging endurance races globally. It tests drivers and teams over a demanding 25.378-kilometer track. Since its debut in 2016, Hyundai has used this race to refine its N brand vehicles, gathering crucial data to enhance performance and durability.
Hyundai's participation at Nürburgring underscores its commitment to motorsport excellence. The company plans to expand its one-make race series internationally, with efforts underway to establish trophy cup programs in Europe. This expansion aims to promote Hyundai's high-performance N models beyond current markets.
The ELANTRA N1 Cup car will make its debut in the SP3T class at Nürburgring. Known as the AVANTE N1 Cup car in Korea, it represents Hyundai's dedication to expanding its racing series and showcasing ELANTRA N's capabilities on a global stage.
Hyundai's team features international champions from Korea, China, and the U.S., enhancing its global appeal. Youngchan Kim from Korea, Gyumin Kim, China's Zhang Zhen Dong, and Jeff Ricca from the U.S. are among those representing Hyundai N.
The TCR team includes seasoned drivers Marc Basseng, Manuel Lauck, and Christer Joens. They aim for another class title with their history of strong performances and teamwork. Bryson Morris, Michael Lewis, Mason Filippi, and Robert Wickens join them.
