Hyundai Launches 'Space To Connect' Campaign For IONIQ 9 Electric SUV Featuring Spacious Interior And Advanced Technology
Hyundai has launched a new marketing campaign for its IONIQ 9, a three-row electric SUV. The "Space to Connect" campaign emphasises the vehicle's spacious interior, advanced technology, and versatility for modern families. The campaign includes ads during major sporting events and on national TV, digital platforms, and social media.
The IONIQ 9 is designed to redefine family mobility with its expansive interior and cutting-edge features. It offers over 300 miles of all-electric range, accommodating up to seven passengers comfortably. Hyundai aims to create meaningful connections through this vehicle, whether for family trips or remote work.

The "Hello, Space" advertisement showcases how the IONIQ 9 brings people together with its class-leading interior space and advanced technology. Another ad, "Inner Space," highlights the SUV's interior tech and range capabilities. These ads aim to connect viewers with the vehicle's futuristic design and practical features.
According to Sean Gilpin, Hyundai Motor America's chief marketing officer, "The IONIQ 9 is more than just a vehicle; it’s a space where life happens." He emphasised that the SUV serves as a hub for connection in various settings.
The campaign uses a "day for night" filming technique to create an otherworldly atmosphere. This approach pairs Mars-like visuals with floating objects for memorable imagery. Jason Sperling from INNOCEAN USA noted that this creative approach connects Hyundai's future-forward vehicles with their people-focused mentality.
Hyundai collaborated with INNOCEAN USA for the campaign's development and Canvas for media buys. The ads will appear on platforms like Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, iHeart, Spotify, SiriusXM, and Pandora. Social media will also play a role in engaging targeted audiences.
Production and Availability
The IONIQ 9 models are assembled at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia. The vehicle is eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit upon purchase or lease. Pricing starts at $60,555 for the RWD S model with an EPA-estimated range of up to 335 miles.
The IONIQ 9 builds on the success of previous models like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6. It combines innovative features with extensive safety measures and fast-charging technology. This makes it ideal for modern family life.
