Hyundai's Ioniq 9, a flagship electric vehicle from the South Korean automaker, was recently displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This event followed its global premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2024. The Ioniq 9 is expected to hit roads in South Korea and the United States in the first half of the year, with plans for Europe and other markets later.

The Ioniq 9 is constructed on Hyundai's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), shared with models like the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, as well as Kia's EV9. Measuring 5,060 mm long, 1,980 mm wide, and 1,790 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm, it offers a spacious interior that surpasses its Kia counterpart.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 electric SUV features a large 110.3 kWh battery pack that supports various drivetrain configurations to suit different driving needs. Furthermore, the flagship variant even boasts an impressive range of up to 620km on a single charge according to WLTP standards.

Hyundai Ioniq 9: Powertrain Options

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 SUV offers multiple drivetrain options: The Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) Long Range version with a single motor produces 215bhp and 350Nm of torque, whereas the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model featuring dual motors delivers a combined output of 308bhp and 605Nm of torque.

In addition to these variants, Hyundai is also offering the Ioniq 9 SUV with a Performance AWD variant. However, in this case, the combined output of these motors stand at 430bhp and 700Nm of torque.

Inside, the Ioniq 9 enhances passenger comfort with six- or seven-seat configurations. It provides up to 1,899 mm of headroom and 2,050 mm of legroom across the second and third rows.
