Hyundai Enhances Electric Vehicle Charging Experience With New MyHyundai App Features
Hyundai Motor America has introduced new features for its MyHyundai with Bluelink app, enhancing the charging experience for electric vehicle (EV) owners. These updates allow users to find and pay for charging at most networks, simplifying the process. The app now supports plug and charge functionality, making it easier for drivers to recharge their vehicles without needing a smartphone or credit card.
The MyHyundai with Bluelink app has been praised for its charge management tools and remote control capabilities. It offers features like surround-view camera access, detailed vehicle status, and phone-as-key technology. These enhancements aim to make EV charging more accessible and user-friendly, aligning with Hyundai's commitment to improving customer experiences.

With the in-app-charging feature, users can locate and pay for charging stations directly through the app. This eliminates the need for third-party apps or physical credit cards across most U.S. networks. The app also provides dynamic EV trip planning with charger routing, available on both the app and the vehicle's infotainment screen.
The plug and charge feature allows automatic payment when plugging into participating public charging stations. Initially available at IONNA, Tesla Supercharger, and select ChargePoint stations, this feature simplifies the process by communicating directly with the vehicle to start charging sessions automatically.
The 2025 IONIQ 5 and 2026 IONIQ 9 are among the models compatible with these new features. Future IONIQ models will also support them. Available networks include IONNA, Tesla Supercharger, and ChargePoint where plug and charge is supported.
Hyundai plans to expand these technologies to more EV models and public charging networks in the future. This expansion aims to make EV charging even more convenient for users.
