Hyundai Achieves Six Wins In U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Cars For Teens Awards
Hyundai has been recognised by U.S. News & World Report with six awards in the 2025 Best Cars for Teens categories, marking the fourth consecutive year it has received more accolades than any other brand. The awards include three for new vehicles and three for used models, highlighting Hyundai's dedication to providing safe, reliable, and technologically advanced cars for young drivers.
Hyundai's commitment to safety and technology is evident in its vehicles, which come equipped with features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and lane-departure warning. Many models also offer teen driver controls and connected features that allow parents to monitor driving habits, promoting safer learning experiences on the road.
The 2025 Hyundai Elantra was named Best Car for Teens in the $25K to $30K range. The 2025 Hyundai Tucson won Best SUV for Teens in the same price bracket. Additionally, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid was recognised as the Best SUV for Teens priced between $30K to $35K. These awards reflect Hyundai's ability to deliver feature-rich vehicles that appeal to both teens and their parents.
In the used car categories, the 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid was awarded Best Used Small Car for Teens. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid earned the title of Best Used Small SUV for Teens. Meanwhile, the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid was named Best Used Midsize SUV for Teens. These recognitions underscore the long-term value and reliability of Hyundai's vehicles.

Zach Doell from U.S. News & World Report noted that "Hyundai’s domination of our Best Cars for Teens awards demonstrates its continuing commitment to building affordable, safe and compelling vehicles for drivers young and old." He highlighted that all winning models boast excellent crash scores and safety systems that reassure parents when handing over keys.
Criteria for Recognition
To be included in the Best New Cars for Teens list, vehicles must excel in predicted reliability, crash safety ratings, advanced driver assistance systems, and receive positive reviews from critics. For used cars from model years 2020–2022 to qualify as Best Used Cars for Teens, they must maintain strong safety scores while offering low ownership costs.
