Hyundai Creta EV To Be Showcased At Auto Expo 2025: Here Are Our Expectations
Hyundai is set to unveil the electric version of its popular Creta SUV at the Bharat Mobility Expo on 17 January 2025. This new model will enter the competitive Indian market, facing rivals like the Tata Curvv.ev, MG ZS EV, and upcoming models from Maruti Suzuki and Toyota.
Exterior Design
Spy images of the Creta EV suggest it retains the same dimensions as its petrol counterpart. The design is expected to mirror the internal combustion engine (ICE) version with minor tweaks. These could include a closed-off grille, electric vehicle (EV) badges, and aerodynamically enhanced alloy wheels.

Interior Features
Inside, the Creta EV's cabin is anticipated to share its dashboard layout with both the Creta and Alcazar models. However, there will be some updates specific to this electric variant. It will feature Hyundai's latest three-spoke steering wheel and a unique screen interface for both infotainment and driver information displays.
The electric SUV will boast advanced features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a 360-degree camera system.
Powertrain Specifications
Underneath its hood, the Hyundai Creta EV is likely to house a 45kWh battery pack powering an electric motor mounted at the front. While detailed specifications are yet to be disclosed, they are expected to align closely with those of the latest-generation Kona EV.
The introduction of this electric model marks Hyundai's commitment to expanding its EV lineup in India. As more automakers join the race towards electrification, consumers can look forward to a wider array of choices in environmentally friendly vehicles.
