Hyundai Creta Electric Features Unique Design Elements: All Details Here
Hyundai India has unveiled its Creta Electric, marking a significant step in the electric vehicle market. The new model retains many features from the standard Creta but introduces some unique design elements. The focus is on its exterior, which incorporates advanced technologies like the Active Air Flap (AAF) from the Ioniq 5.
The silhouette of the Creta Electric closely resembles that of the standard Creta. However, it includes minor design adjustments to enhance its aerodynamics. A sealed-off grille and air dam are noticeable at the front, along with air flaps that open and close for cooling and airflow. This feature is a first in its segment.

Design Features
The front camera on the Creta Electric is positioned above the 'H' logo, which also conceals the charging port. Unlike its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, this model has a slimmer silver faux skid plate with sharper arches. The pixel theme on this vehicle aligns with Hyundai's visual identity for all its electric vehicles.
On the sides, changes are minimal but include EV-specific alloy wheels and a blacked-out C-pillar element, which is silver in the standard version. This darkened applique is exclusive to dual-tone variants. At the rear, subtle modifications are integrated into the bumper, such as a slimmer reflector pair and an angular skid plate.

Colour Options
The Hyundai Creta Electric will be available in ten colours: eight monotone and two dual-tone shades. Among these are three matte paints. New additions include Ocean Blue metallic paint with a Black Roof, Starry Night, Fiery Red, and Atlas White with Black Roof. This expands upon the seven colour options available for the standard Creta.
The right side of the boot gate will feature an 'electric' badge instead of displaying the variant name as seen in its ICE sibling. Additionally, there is an extra reversing light compared to just one in the ICE version.
Launch Date & Competition
Hyundai plans to debut the Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BMGE) on January 17. Upon launch, it will face competition from models like Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV. Future rivals include Maruti e Vitara (or Vitara electric), Mahindra BE 6 (formerly BE 6e), and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
This new electric SUV represents Hyundai India's first mass-market compact e-SUV offering. It aims to cater to growing consumer demand for environmentally friendly vehicles while maintaining familiar design elements from its popular ICE counterpart.
