Hyundai Creta Electric Details Revealed: 473km Range & More
The Hyundai Creta Electric is set to make its debut at the Bharat Mobility Show on January 17, where its pricing will be revealed. This electric version maintains much of the design from its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. However, it boasts an impressive ARAI-claimed range of 473 km. Let's delve into more details about this upcoming electric SUV.
The Creta Electric offers two battery options: a 42kWh and a 51.4kWh pack. These provide ARAI-claimed ranges of 390 km and 473 km, respectively. While power and torque figures are yet to be disclosed, Hyundai claims the long-range version can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.9 seconds. The vehicle features three driving modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport—and includes a steering column-mounted drive mode selector similar to the Ioniq 5.

Hyundai Creta Electric Features
Charging capabilities are noteworthy, with DC charging allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes. An 11kW AC wall box charger can fully charge the battery from 10% to 100% in four hours. The Creta Electric also introduces i-Pedal technology for single-pedal driving.
Externally, the Creta Electric retains most body panels from the ICE model but includes new soft plastic parts like pixel-detailed bumpers and aero-optimized alloy wheels. The front bumper has active aero flaps for better aerodynamic efficiency, and the charging port is conveniently located on the SUV's nose.

Inside, it features dual 10.25-inch screens and a new steering wheel design borrowed from the Kona sold overseas. A floating center console adds a modern touch. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, a suite of ADAS features, and Hyundai's digital key.
Hyundai Creta Electric Variants
The Creta Electric will be available in four trims: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. Buyers can choose from eight monotone colours and two dual-tone options, including three matte finishes like the ocean blue metallic with a black roof.

In terms of competition, this electric SUV will face off against models like Maruti e Vitara and Mahindra BE 6. Unlike these rivals built on dedicated electric platforms, the Creta Electric adapts an ICE platform but still competes with larger battery packs offered by competitors.
As anticipation builds for its official launch at the Bharat Mobility Show, more details about Hyundai's latest offering are expected soon.
