Hyundai Canada Reports Record February Sales Of 9,200 Units In 2025

Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. announced a 6.5% increase in February sales, reaching 9,200 units compared to the previous year. The TUCSON, KONA, and ELANTRA models led the sales figures. Notably, the TUCSON achieved 2,421 units sold, marking an 8.7% rise from February 2024 and continuing a seven-month streak of growth.

Despite a pause in iZEV incentives, Hyundai's pure electric vehicle sales saw a decline but still managed to deliver 440 units in February. The Tucson HEV emerged as the top-selling electrified model with a 17.5% increase from last year. However, total electrified vehicle sales dropped by 19.1%, with only 2,387 units sold compared to 2,952 in February 2024.

Hyundai Canada Achieves Best February Sales

The SANTA FE HEV showed significant growth with a remarkable increase of 9325%, selling 377 units compared to just four the previous year. In contrast, the IONIQ 5 experienced a decrease of 37.9%, while the KONA EV saw an even sharper decline of 86.3%. The IONIQ 6 also faced an 81.4% drop in sales.

The ELANTRA recorded a substantial increase of 38.8%, selling 1,748 units this February compared to last year's figures. Meanwhile, the SANTA FE saw an impressive rise of 82.8%, reaching 894 units sold. The PALISADE also performed well with a growth of 21.8%. Conversely, VENUE and SANTA CRUZ experienced slight declines of around 5% each.

The SONATA stood out with a significant surge in sales by achieving a growth rate of over three times its previous year's performance at this time. However, some models like the IONIQ series faced challenges; for instance, the IONIQ 6 had only sold 44 units compared to last year's numbers.
