International Survey Explores How Women Feel Behind The Wheel Of Their Cars
An international survey is being launched by Women's Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) in partnership with the Czech magazine Žena v autě.cz. The survey aims to explore how women feel while driving. It will assess their confidence, fears, and overall experiences on the road. The results are set to be revealed on International Women Drivers' Day, 24th June.
The survey is open to all interested participants until 15th June 2025, although it primarily targets female drivers. Sabina Kvasova, editor-in-chief of Žena v autě.cz and a WWCOTY juror, stated that the questionnaire will help evaluate women's driving experiences across different countries. "Through a questionnaire we want to analyze how women - drivers feel on roads, what they fear, how confident they are while driving," she explained.

The initiative seeks to gather insights from women worldwide about their driving habits and perspectives. This effort underscores WWCOTY's commitment to understanding female drivers' experiences globally. Participants can share their thoughts by completing the questionnaire available on wwcoty.net.
WWCOTY is unique as it consists solely of female motoring journalists. Founded in 2009 by New Zealand journalist Sandy Myhre, it aims to highlight the best cars each year while amplifying women's voices in the automotive industry. Marta García currently serves as Executive President.
The award's criteria focus on factors like safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, and environmental impact rather than gender-specific preferences. This approach ensures that the best cars are chosen based on universal standards applicable to all drivers.
Beyond selecting top vehicles annually, WWCOTY strives to enhance women's visibility in the automotive sector. The organisation believes that mobility offers women numerous personal and professional opportunities worldwide.
By participating in this survey, individuals contribute valuable insights into women's driving experiences across various regions. Every opinion shared helps build a comprehensive understanding of female drivers' perspectives globally.
