Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has introduced the Elevate SUV, marking a significant step in their Indian operations. This vehicle has been well-received by Indian SUV enthusiasts. Since production began, the company has celebrated reaching a milestone of 1 lakh cumulative sales for the Elevate SUV. Competing in India's competitive C SUV segment, the Elevate represents HCIL's response to the rising popularity of SUVs in the country.
The Elevate SUV is manufactured exclusively at Honda's Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. It has achieved 53,326 domestic sales and exported 47,653 units to international markets by January 2025. This model is Honda's first made-in-India vehicle exported to Japan, showcasing HCIL's global reach and commitment to producing high-quality cars for Indian consumers.

Global Reach and Export Success
Honda Elevate's success extends beyond India, with exports to major markets such as Japan, South Africa, Bhutan, and Nepal. The model's cumulative sales of 1 lakh units include both domestic and Japanese markets. Currently, it stands as Honda's best-selling export model, contributing significantly to HCIL's overseas business growth by 65% in FY23-24 and 92% in the ongoing financial year till January 2025.
The Elevate adheres to Honda's Urban Freestyler concept, catering to customers with active lifestyles and a global outlook. It offers numerous features and creature comforts alongside advanced safety systems like the renowned Honda Sensing ADAS suite. These attributes align with buyer trends and meet customer demands both domestically and internationally.

Expanding Appeal with New Editions
To enhance its appeal further, Honda has launched Apex Edition and Black Edition variants of the Elevate SUV. These editions come equipped with a reliable E20 fuel-compliant 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine known for its performance and durability. Additionally, HCIL has confirmed that an electric version of the Elevate is currently under development.
The introduction of these new editions aims to attract more buyers by offering diverse options tailored to different preferences. The robust engine ensures reliability while maintaining impressive performance standards that have become synonymous with Honda vehicles.
