Honda Elevate Hybrid To Be Launched In 2026: Specs, Features, & Other Key Details

The Honda Elevate Hybrid launch timeline has been out, and the model is expected to hit the Indian roads around the second half of 2026. Along with that, Honda has also revealed its plans to launch a new electric SUV, and the new-gen City sedan.

Honda Elevate Hybrid

Not so long ago, we speculated that a hybrid version of Honda Elevate would be wonderful for the Indian market. Now, it is been widely reported that Honda is planning to launch Elevate Hybrid during the second half of 2026.

Honda Elevate

Reports also suggests that the upcoming Honda Elevate Hybrid will be manufactured at the automaker's facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan. It is also been said that the upcoming Honda Elevate Hybrid will have separate production line - hinting at automaker's high expectations for the model.

In terms of powertrain, the upcoming Honda Elevate e:HEV will be powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine as the Honda City e:HEV. Together with the two electric motors, this hybrid powertrain develops 126hp and 253Nm of peak torque.

In Comparison, the outgoing version of the Honda Elevate uses a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 121hp and 145Nm of torque. Moreover, this powertrain in the Honda Elevate returns a fuel efficiency figure of 16.92km/l when equipped with the CVT unit.

That said, we expect the upcoming Honda Elevate Hybrid to be slightly less fuel efficient than the Honda City Hybrid due to its less aerodynamic shape and added weight. As such, we expect the Honda Elevate Hybrid mileage to be just over 25km/l (Vs Honda City hybrid's 27.26km/l).

When launched, we expect the Honda Elevate Hybrid to be priced less than Rs 20 lakh. In comparison, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid prices start at Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom), and boasts a fuel efficiency figure of 27.97km/l.

It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming Honda Elevate Hybrid version could get an uprated ADAS system with more safety features and technology.

Honda Electric SUV

Unlike the previous speculations, the upcoming Honda SUV will not be based on the Honda Elevate, but it will be a completely new model designed and built for Indian conditions.

We expect this upcoming electric SUV from Honda to compete against the likes of Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, and MG ZS EV. This upcoming Honda electric SUV is also expected to be launched in the second half of 2026.
