Honda Elevate Black Edition To Be Launched Tomorrow In India

The Honda Elevate Black Edition could be launched by January 7. This SUV will be available in two versions: the Elevate Black Edition and the Elevate Signature Black Edition. Recently spotted in its production-ready form, this vehicle hints at an imminent release. The new editions are expected to be priced approximately Rs 75,000 higher than the standard model.

Honda Elevate Black Edition Exterior Design

Both the Elevate Black and Signature Black Editions will feature a Crystal Black Pearl exterior. The design includes gloss black alloy wheels and chrome accents on the upper grille. Silver finishes adorn the roof rails and lower door sections. Inside, an all-black interior with leatherette seats enhances its premium feel.

Honda Elevate Black Edition Engine

The Elevate Black Edition retains the same mechanical setup as the standard model. It is powered by a 121hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a manual or CVT automatic gearbox. No changes are expected in terms of performance or engine specifications.

Honda Elevate Black Edition Features

In terms of features, these editions are based on the top variant of the Elevate. They come equipped with a single-pane sunroof, automatic headlights and wipers, and a semi-analogue instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT display. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and camera-based ADAS suite are also included.

Honda Elevate Black Edition Competition

The Honda Elevate faces stiff competition from several mid-size SUVs in India. Hyundai's Creta Knight Edition, MG Motor's Astor Blackstorm, and Maruti Suzuki's Grand Vitara Black Edition are notable rivals offering similar all-black versions. The standard Honda Elevate competes with models like Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara, Hyryder, Kushaq, and Taigun.

Hyundai's Creta leads this segment with impressive monthly sales averaging around 15,000 units. In response to below-expectation sales of its mid-size SUV, Honda has advanced the launch of the Elevate Black Edition from March to January.

Pricing Details for Honda Elevate Variants

The pricing for Honda's new all-black variants is anticipated to start at approximately Rs 17.20 lakh onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). This is based on their foundation on the top-spec Elevate ZX variant. Currently, prices for standard Elevate models range from Rs 11.69 lakh to Rs 16.43 lakh.

Last year saw Honda introduce the Elevate Apex edition, which has been well-received according to dealers. The Apex Edition will continue to be sold alongside these new black editions.
