Honda Achieves Dominance In NTT INDYCAR Series With Multiple Wins In Toronto 2025
Honda has been a formidable force in the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES, securing victories in 11 out of 12 races. The only exception was the first race of the Iowa doubleheader. Honda teams have excelled across various track types, including road courses, street circuits, speedways, and short ovals. This success is shared among drivers from Chip Ganassi Racing and Andretti Global.
Alex Palou has been a standout performer for Honda, clinching wins at St. Pete, Thermal, Barber, Indy GP, Indy 500, Road America, and Iowa. Scott Dixon added to Honda's tally with a victory at Mid-Ohio. Kyle Kirkwood contributed by winning the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, Detroit, and World Wide Technology Raceway. Palou currently leads the drivers’ championship by 129 points.

In recent years, Honda has shown remarkable dominance on street circuits. Since 2023, they have won all but one street race. In 2023 alone, Honda drivers swept five street circuits and achieved podium sweeps in Long Beach and Toronto. The following year saw similar success with wins on three out of four street circuits.
The trend continued into 2025 with victories in all three street circuit events so far. Alex Palou triumphed at St. Petersburg while Kyle Kirkwood took top honours at both the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach and the Detroit Grand Prix.
Toronto has been a favourable venue for Honda-powered teams and drivers over the years. They have claimed victory there 13 times in both CART and INDYCAR competitions. Colton Herta led a Honda 1-7 finish in the 2024 race, marking three consecutive wins for Honda in Toronto.
Christian Lundgaard secured his first NTT INDYCAR SERIES win at this event in 2023. Scott Dixon also boasts four wins on Toronto's streets as part of his impressive career record.
