Honda City Sport Edition Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 14.89 Lakh
Honda Cars India Ltd. has launched a limited-edition version of its popular compact sedan, the Honda City Sport. Priced at ₹14.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the CVT variant, this new model offers distinct styling enhancements both inside and out. Positioned above the standard CVT version, it emphasises sporty aesthetics and cabin ambience, featuring an exclusive 'Sport' badge.
The City Sport is based on the fifth-generation Honda City and retains the mechanical package of the standard petrol variant. It is powered by Honda's 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine, now compliant with E20 fuel standards. This engine produces 119bhp and 145Nm of torque, paired with a CVT unit that includes paddle shifters, offering a claimed mileage of 18.4km/l.

On the exterior, the Honda City Sport Edition showcases several sporty visual modifications. These include a black front grille, black trunk lip spoiler, glossy black shark fin antenna, and black outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs). Unique multi-spoke grey alloy wheels enhance its dynamic road presence compared to the regular version.
The interior of the City Sport adopts a full black theme, departing from the dual-tone treatment seen in most City variants. The seats, door inserts, and steering wheel feature contrasting red stitching. The roof liner and pillars are also blacked out. Additional upgrades include a dark red dash insert, glossy black AC vents, and seven-colour ambient lighting.
Feature-wise, the City Sport retains all comfort, convenience, and safety tech from higher trims of the standard City. This includes Honda SENSING, an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) offering features like adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. While no new features are introduced specifically for the Sport trim beyond aesthetic additions, ADAS ensures competitive safety.
The City Sport is available in three colour options: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic. Buyers choosing the Pearl finish will incur an additional cost of Rs 8,000. Notably, this variant is only offered with an automatic (CVT) transmission; there is no manual version or diesel/hybrid option available.
