Honda City E:HEV Model Prices Hiked In India: All Details Here
Honda Cars India has announced a price increase for its City e:HEV model, more popularly known as the City Hybrid, specifically targeting the ZX variant. This adjustment has raised the cost by Rs. 29,900, establishing the new ex-showroom price at Rs. 20.85 lakh.
Initially introduced in 2022, the hybrid vehicle was initially tagged at Rs. 19.50 lakh. This model, competing against the likes of the Hyundai Verna, has been reviewed extensively for those interested in its performance and features.

The City Hybrid, powered by a 1.5-litre, NA petrol engine alongside two electric motors, delivers a combined output of 108bhp and 253Nm. It incorporates an e-CVT as its sole transmission option, boasting an impressive ARAI-certified mileage of 27.1kmpl. This hybrid model has been a significant addition to Honda's lineup, reflecting the company's commitment to offering efficient and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
In a related development, Honda Cars India has achieved a noteworthy milestone by selling over 50,000 units equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), now branded as Honda Sensing, across the country. This suite of tech features has become a preferred choice among buyers, significantly contributing to sales.
Specifically, ADAS-equipped variants represent over 60%, 95%, and 30% of total sales for the Elevate, City, and Amaze models, respectively. The introduction of ADAS began with the City hybrid in May 2022, gradually extending to other models, including the non-hybrid City, Elevate, and Amaze, showcasing Honda's dedication to enhancing driver safety and convenience through advanced technologies.
Honda Sensing includes a comprehensive array of safety features such as adaptive cruise control, auto-high beam function, lead car departure notification, lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, and a collision mitigation braking system. These innovations highlight Honda's commitment to integrating sophisticated safety mechanisms in its vehicles, catering to the growing consumer demand for safer driving experiences.
Reflecting on this achievement, Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, emphasized the company's dedication to safety, stating, "At Honda Cars India, safety is at the core of everything we do. Achieving the milestone of 50,000 ADAS-enabled vehicles on Indian roads reflects our unwavering commitment to enhancing safety for all. This achievement not only aligns with our global safety vision but also demonstrates the growing preference and acceptance of Indian consumers for advanced driver assistance technologies. Every day, we are working to make our vehicles safer by continuously improving both active and passive safety features, ensuring that we offer a secure driving experience for everyone."
