Honda Dominates Cars.com’s 2025 American-Made Index With Eight Top Models
Honda and Acura have achieved significant recognition in the 2025 American-Made Index by Cars.com. Eight models from these brands are among the top 20, with three Honda models making it to the top 10. This highlights Honda's dedication to manufacturing vehicles in America for over four decades, using both domestic and global parts.
The Honda Passport, Ridgeline, and Odyssey are among the top 10 models on the list. These vehicles are exclusively manufactured in Alabama. Meanwhile, the Honda Accord and Acura MDX, RDX, and Integra are produced solely in Ohio. This demonstrates Honda's strong manufacturing presence in these states.
Honda's commitment to U.S. manufacturing is further emphasized by six models being designed and developed by American engineers. These include the Honda Passport, Pilot, Ridgeline, Odyssey, and Acura MDX and RDX. This approach ensures that many of their vehicles are truly American-made.
The Cars.com American-Made Index evaluates several factors such as final assembly location, percentage of U.S. and Canadian parts, engine origin, transmission origin, and U.S. manufacturing employment relative to the automaker's footprint. These criteria help determine which vehicles are most American-made.
Jun Jayaraman from Honda Development & Manufacturing of America highlighted this achievement: "This recognition of Honda’s leadership in U.S. auto manufacturing is based on more than four decades of commitment to building vehicles in America." His statement underscores Honda's integrated regional manufacturing network.
