Hagerty Hill Climb 2025 Showcases Classic And Modern Cars At Shelsley Walsh
Last Saturday, Hagerty hosted an impressive hill climb event at Shelsley Walsh. This non-competitive gathering featured a diverse range of cars, from vintage racers to modern classics. Attendees enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, focusing on camaraderie rather than competition. The event was open to all, with vehicles like GT40s and Panteras sharing the paddock with retro classics such as the Nova GTE and Alfa Romeo 75.
The Hagerty Hill Climb brought together car enthusiasts of all ages. Participants included seasoned hill climbers in specially prepared cars and newcomers driving everyday hatchbacks. The event celebrated car culture by encouraging owners to enjoy their vehicles in a friendly setting. Mark Roper, Managing Director of Hagerty International, stated, "We encourage all classic and enthusiast car owners to drive their cars as often as possible."
Hagerty events like the Hill Climb and Festival of the Unexceptional highlight various aspects of car culture. These gatherings provide opportunities for owners to showcase their vehicles and create lasting memories. The upcoming Festival of the Unexceptional is scheduled for Saturday, 26th July at Grimsthorpe Castle, Lincolnshire.
The newly launched Hagerty Drivers Club offered members an exclusive enclosure at Shelsley Walsh. This area provided a relaxing space with live music, guest speakers, and refreshments throughout the day. Members could unwind between driving sessions in comfortable seating with shaded areas.
Shelsley Walsh holds the distinction of being the oldest motorsport venue still operating on its original course. It predates famous tracks like Indianapolis, Le Mans, and Monza. This historic setting added to the charm of the Hagerty Hill Climb event.
