General Motors Appoints Mike Trevorrow As Senior Vice President Of Global Manufacturing
Mike Trevorrow has been appointed as the senior vice president of global manufacturing at General Motors. This change is effective immediately. Trevorrow, who previously served as the vice president of global manufacturing engineering, will continue to handle his prior duties. His extensive experience in manufacturing operations and engineering spans over 40 years, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the entire manufacturing process.
Trevorrow's new role involves leading GM's global manufacturing and engineering teams. These teams consist of more than 95,000 members across 110 sites in 11 countries on four continents. He will report directly to GM President Mark Reuss. Trevorrow’s appointment aims to strengthen the connection between manufacturing and product development, enhancing the overall customer experience.

His leadership is expected to facilitate the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies at GM. This move aligns with GM’s strategy to transition towards software-defined vehicles and support broader innovation goals. "Mike’s extensive experience in manufacturing operations and engineering, along with his steady leadership, make him the right choice to lead our global manufacturing organization into the future," stated GM President Mark Reuss.
Trevorrow began his career at GM in North American manufacturing, where he held various leadership roles before moving to Japan. In 2013, he was promoted to executive director of global body in manufacturing engineering. He later became plant executive director for the Lansing Region and also served as vice president of global workplace safety.
In 2023, Trevorrow took on the role of vice president for North American manufacturing. By early 2024, he advanced to his current position leading global manufacturing engineering. His promotion ensures a strong link between manufacturing engineering and product execution while promoting collaboration among teams.
