Genesis And Genesis Inspiration Foundation Enhance STEAM Education And Arts Programs In Louisiana
Genesis and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation have recently bolstered STEAM education and art programs in Louisiana. Through Genesis Gives, their corporate social responsibility initiative, they organised a STEAM workshop at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana in Lafayette. This event allowed students to explore product planning concepts and create future mobility vehicles using upcycled materials.
The Genesis Inspiration Foundation has also contributed $10,000 to Young Audiences of Louisiana. This organisation is a leading provider of arts education and integration programs in the community. Their mission is to inspire, engage, and unite children through education, arts, and culture. They offer school performances, arts-integrated instruction, community-based arts programs, and professional development for teachers.
Brandon Ramirez, director of corporate social responsibility at Genesis Motor America, stated: "At Genesis, we are committed to supporting the next generation of engineers, artists, and leaders. STEAM programs are an essential part of a child’s education and development, and art can unlock creativity and boost students’ performance in an academic setting."
This year marks the 55th anniversary of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. The organisation operates with a mission to empower young people to reach their full potential as productive citizens. They serve youth across nine locations with after-school programs and summer camps focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and leadership skills.
Genesis hosted a STEAM workshop for over 30 students from elementary to high school levels at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. Participants learned about Genesis's product development process and viewed a special showcase of a Genesis vehicle. They then developed concepts for future mobility vehicles using upcycled materials.
Young Audiences of Louisiana's Impact
Young Audiences of Louisiana (YALA) has been providing arts education since 1962. Initially bringing chamber musicians into classrooms, YALA now offers diverse programs that integrate arts into education throughout Louisiana. Their approach aims to inspire children while engaging influential adults in their lives.
The donation from Genesis Inspiration Foundation will help YALA continue delivering quality arts programs that inspire children as a key form of expression. These initiatives aim to create learning environments where children can develop cognitively, socially, and emotionally.
