Genesis And Genesis Inspiration Foundation Enhance Education Initiatives In Coastal Georgia With STEAM Workshops
Genesis and its philanthropic arm, Genesis Inspiration Foundation, have recently taken steps to support educational initiatives in Coastal Georgia. This region is home to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. A STEAM workshop was hosted by Genesis Gives at Bryan County Middle School, facilitated by Child Creativity Lab. Additionally, the foundation donated $50,000 to the Savannah Children’s Theatre.
"Genesis is committed to investing in the future generation of leaders by supporting educational opportunities that enrich and inspire young minds," said Brandon Ramirez, director, corporate social responsibility, Genesis Motor America. "We are proud to continue offering STEAM workshops in Bryan County so that students can experience the type of creativity and planning process that goes behind designing vehicles at Genesis. Additionally, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation is honored to donate to the Savannah Children’s Theatre for its arts education programs that cultivate a passion for learning."
The Genesis Inspiration Foundation was established in 2018 as a nonprofit with a mission to enhance children's access to arts across the nation. The foundation's recent donation aims to bolster arts education at Savannah Children’s Theatre. This theatre seeks to inspire and educate children through live performances both on stage and in various community settings.
The Savannah Children’s Theatre offers diverse experiences through school trips, after-school activities, and community productions. These programs provide an inclusive environment where children can enjoy live theatre while learning valuable skills.
Genesis Gives is a corporate social responsibility initiative from Genesis Motor America. It focuses on improving access to youth sports and STEAM education in underserved communities. Since 2022, this initiative has contributed over $2 million nationwide.
The recent workshop at Bryan County Middle School introduced students to new mobility concepts and clean energy use in the automotive industry. Students explored the design process behind Genesis vehicles and created their own mobility ideas using recycled materials.
