Genesis Inspiration Foundation Enhances Youth Education Through STEAM And Arts Initiatives In Michigan
Genesis and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation are actively supporting youth education in Michigan by funding STEAM and arts initiatives. Recently, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation contributed $25,000 to Living Arts Detroit, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering creativity in young people through various art forms. Additionally, Genesis organized a STEAM workshop for nearly 50 students at South Hills Middle School.
Living Arts Detroit received a $25,000 grant from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation. This organization integrates arts into education for children from as young as three months to 18 years old. Their programs include early childhood education, K-12 artist residencies, and afterschool arts classes. The funding will help expand access to quality arts experiences, empowering youth with confidence and empathy.
The Genesis Gives initiative is part of Genesis Motor America's corporate social responsibility efforts. It aims to enhance access to youth sports and STEAM education in under-resourced communities. Since 2022, Genesis has donated over $2 million nationwide to support these causes. For more details, visit their website.
At South Hills Middle School, a STEAM workshop was held in partnership with Child Creativity Lab. Nearly 50 middle school students explored product development and saw an electrified Genesis vehicle demonstration using recycled materials. They then created their own future mobility vehicles with upcycled materials, blending interactive learning with real-world application.
The Genesis Inspiration Foundation is a nonprofit focused on connecting youth with the transformative power of the arts. Founded in 2018, it has awarded over $13 million in grants to expand youth arts programs across museums, schools, and community organizations nationwide. The foundation aims to improve educational outcomes by providing access to inspiring arts programs.
"Education is the cornerstone of thriving communities," stated Brandon Ramirez, director of corporate social responsibility at Genesis Motor America. "Genesis is proud to support STEAM and arts programs that foster creativity, discovery, and innovation. We are passionate about providing the next generation with the opportunities and resources they need to succeed."
