The 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 has been named the Best Luxury Car of 2025 by Cars.com, marking its second consecutive win. This accolade is awarded to any luxury brand vehicle from the 2025 model year that excels in usability, drivability, and style. The editorial team at Cars.com selected this year's winner.
The Electrified GV70 combines luxury with electrification, featuring a sophisticated design and high-quality materials. Mike Hanley, senior road test editor at Cars.com, praised its powerful electric drivetrain and fast-charging capabilities. "Its powerful electric drivetrain and rapid fast-charging capabilities enhance its appeal, while the luxurious interior coddles occupants," he stated.
Genesis Motor North America's chief operating officer, Tedros Mengiste, expressed pride in the recognition. "This back-to-back recognition from Cars.com is a testament to our relentless commitment to building vehicles that enhance every aspect of the driving experience," Mengiste said. The SUV is assembled in the U.S., showcasing an athletic yet elegant option within their lineup.
Launched in early 2023, the Electrified GV70 quickly became Genesis's best-selling electric SUV. It holds the distinction of being the first Genesis vehicle assembled in the United States at their Montgomery, Alabama facility. This model is part of a growing lineup of electric vehicles from Genesis.
The 2025 Electrified GV70 is available at select retailers across numerous states including Alabama, California, New York, and Texas. Later this year, an updated version for 2026 will be introduced with enhanced features aimed at improving the driving experience further.
The upcoming 2026 model will include a larger 84kWh battery for extended range and will feature a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port along with a Combined Charging System (CCS) adapter for easier charging options.
